He has performed in dozens of shows in the Seattle Northwest area and elsewhere in the United States and India and is proud to have helped raise tens of thousands of dollars for worthy causes. A die hard Sonu Nigam fan, Amol strives to bring the same passion, energy and versatility into his singing. After a short period of training in tabla, he started experimenting with Bengali and light classical music, a passion he continues till date. He was trained in Hindustani Classical music by his uncle Pt. Sudhindra Bhaumik, a disciple of Late Pt. K.G.Ginde, Late Pt. Dinkar Kaikini and Late Pt. S.C.R. Bhatt. Ashim also received taalim from Late Pt. Sunil Bose at SRA Calcutta for several years and continues his musical association with his uncle. A regular performer in many Seattle events including Pratidhwani Light music events, he has developed a niche in light classical, qawaalis, ghazals and Indian folk music. </p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <img width="165" src="images/bipasha.jpg" /> </td> <td style="padding:10px;"> <h3>Bipasha Mukherjee</h3> <p>I was fortunate to come from a musical family. I love a large variety of music from various parts of the world, from classical to pop. I ve sung in India and sing in the US mostly with the band Shruti (which I cofounded in 1992) at several festival and venues. The benefits of music/performing have been multi-fold: Fun. Joy. Money raised for many a good cause. Love and support from wonderful fans. Amazingly talented friends I ve made along the way who have shared their gifts and passion and helped me grow musically. But above all, music has been a constant companion through all of my life s moments be it agony, ecstasy, or anything in between. It is a language that expresses the heart s words when it is hard to speak. A language, that binds us all in an exquisite melody. A blessing in life for which I continue to be grateful!</p> </td> </tr> </table> <br /> <br /> <br /> </div> </div> </div> </body> </html>
