Mehfil 2019

Indian Classical Music
by
Artists from Pacific Northwest

NEW DATE ANNOUNCED!

Mehfil returns April 14th!

WHAT IS MEHFIL?

There are many musicians - students and experts - in the PNW area who  rehearse their craft without pause. However, they don't always get an opportunity to perform for an audience, or to hear other people's work.

For students, this is an important part of learning. For advanced musicians, interacting with their peers develops community. MEHFIL is a forum that brings everyone together. It gives students a chance to enthrall an audience. It gives us a chance to listen to a variety of music. It gives the musicians a stage to perform.

MEHFIL - a musical gathering of PNW instrumentalists is melodic group presentations, energetic tabla solos & various other instrumentalists such as sitarists, pianists, bansuri & santoor players etc. presenting the heritage received from their gurus.

This year's MEHFIL is structured as a THREE PART EVENT! Buy tickets ONCE and stay for ONE, TWO or ALL THREE parts.

Session I will feature some of our beginner instrumentalists.

Sessions II and III will feature our advanced instrumentalists.

One ticket for the entire event, we would encourage you to come in and attend the entire event.

Snacks & tea will be available for purchase during the break.
