Pandit Dr. Ram Deshpande, a renowned vocalist with a rich musical tradition, has received taleem from many notable gurus including Shri. Chepe, Shri. Panake, Pt. Prabhakar Deshkar, Pt. Yashwantbua Joshi and Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar. He has also received guidance from Pt. Babanrao Haldankar of Agra gharana,from Pt. Yashwant Mahale of Bhatkhande Paramapara. He holds a post graduate degree in music from Nagpur University with gold medal and also has a doctorate in music. Gandharva Mahavidyalaya has selected him as guide for doctorate.
Ram Deshpande has a sonorous and seasoned voice and has number of ornamentations like gamak, behlave, meend, Ghaseet etc., at his command. His command over the Bol-Banav and Bol Baant enthralls the audience.
Among the many awards he has received are the best vocalist award from the Sangeet Research Academy Kolkata and the prestigious Vidyasagar Award by music forum and the Aditya Vikram Birla Kalakiran Puraskar.
He has performed in many prestigious music festivals all over India and has toured extensively across India, the U.S., England, Holland, Germany, Dubai, Muscat, Abu Dhabi and Kenya. At present many talented students are studying classical vocal music under his able guidance.
Pandit Ram Deshpande has given music direction for a short film “Gaan Yogi” depicting the life of Pandit D. V. Paluskar. He has recorded and composed an Album “Guru Para Brahma” by Red Ribbon Company and has also composed “Vande Mataram” in Raag Mala of 24 Ragas.
Shri Sanjay Deshpande, a talented Tabla player was born in a music loving family and was introduced to the art of playing Tabla under Late Pt. Sabade at Pune Bharat Gayan Samaj. Later he took Taleem from the renowned Tabla player Pt. Suresh Talwalkar of Delhi-Farookabad Gharana, in Guru Shishya Parampara. He also had the privilege of understanding the beauty of Punjab Gharana under the guidance of world renowned Tabla maestro Ustad Alla Rakha Khan Saheb and Pt.Yogesh Samsi. At present he is taking Taleem from Pt. Vivek Joshi. Sanjay is recipient of the Ahmedjaan Thirakwaa Scholarship for Solo Performance. He has accompanied many renowned artists and has performed in major music conferences across India. He has also performed abroad in U.S.A, U.K, U.A.E, Canada, Australia, Switzerland, Russia, Belgium, Holland, Qatar, Israel, South Korea etc., including his participation in the “World Vocal Festival” in Sweden. He is empaneled as Guru at the Lalit Kala Kendra, University of Pune and Bharati Vidyapeeth Pune. He has released a number of recordings. His fusion album “Wind From Ayuta” with Korean musicians won the Best album award of the year - 2002 in South Korea.
Shri Abhishek Shinkar comes from a family of music lovers and connoisseurs and started learning music at an early age. He took primary lessons of music from Shankar Mahajan for 8 years. Later on he carried his training for vocal and harmonium under the guidance of Pt. Nathrao Neralkar at Aurangabad for 5 years under Gurushishya Parampara. Recently he has been taking formal lessons for harmonium under the tutelage of Pt. Pramod Marathe at Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Pune under Gurushishya Parampara for the past 5 years, which still continues. He is also fortunate to receive guidance from Taalyogi Pt. Sureshji Talwalkar. He has accompanied various artist of great repertoire at many prestigious concerts, including many noted vocalists and instrumentalists. He had also performed solo concerts at various occasions, at NCPA Mumbai, Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Pune to name a few. Apart from this he has a Masters of Arts in harmonium and also holds a Visharad in harmonium and vocal. He also has many awards and recognition to his name including Pt Vishnu Digamber Paluskar Scholarship, Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Pune, First position in National Youth festival for Harmonium, Pt. D.V. Paluskar Award, Sharda Sangeet Vidyalaya, Mumbai, and Scholarship from Ministry of Culture, India
